Marathon Bahamas is now an associate member of the prestigious Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and is listed among premiere international distance races like the Boston, Toronto, Paris and Zurich marathons. This is a significant accomplishment for Marathon Bahamas, and a big part of the overall marketing strategy for January 16, 2011. AIMS is a member based organization , comprised of over 300 of the world’s leading distance races, from over 85 countries, and as a member, Marathon Bahamas will benefit from exchange information, knowledge and expertise from fellow members, as well as from opportunities to effectively market its event overseas. Marathon Bahamas is already working closely with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism local and overseas offices to actively promote Marathon Bahamas 2011 event to industry partners in the United States, Canada and Europe, and the AIMS membership should open more serve to cement those efforts.
