HOW QUICKLY TIME FLIES BY
It's less than five short months before the 8th annual running of Marathon Bahamas on January 15, 2017 with an early am start at Junkanoo Beach, immediately west of downtown Nassau. We are all so very excited about, once again, hosting this international endurance event at our unique winter island wonderland - Nassau.
If you are looking for an incredible destination runcation, Marathon Bahamas is your race. There is a race for every fitness level (marathon, half, four-person relay - averaging 6.5 miles per runner as well as a warm-up 5k on Saturday), miles of open ocean vistas, running through history (downtown, Paradise Island, Cable Beach) and ending with an oceanfront finish (Arawak Cay) with a commemorative finisher medal, entertainment and junkanoo. What a way to party!

MARATHON BAHAMAS- AN INTERNATIONAL EVENT
Last year, MB hosted an international field with runners from 34 countries, five continents and 37 states. Participants included individuals or groups running for individual gratification and/or teams running for specific charities. The common denominator? Running in Paradise and having some pre or post-race vacation.
Currently, we have participants from 11 countries and 27 states.
The relay was an early sell out in 2016.
If you are interested in participating in the relay, register early and spread the word to your friends, family and colleague as we are presently way ahead of relay registrations.
REGISTER AND WIN A TRIP FOR TWO
For the month of September, MB is offering a special fall registration drive. Register for the marathon or half marathon event, and be eligible to win a two-nights stay at the British Colonial Hilton plus breakfast for two. Sweepstake ends 9/30/16. Winner will be announced via social media. All present registrants are eligible to win.
For the second consecutive year, MB will be hosting its Student Run. After completing a total of 25 miles in training (during the course of the Fall period which must be documented), the student is allowed to complete their marathon on race morning starting at mile 25 and finish with the marathoners. Additional information is available by contacting Chakita Archer at email@example.com
Space is limited and there is a registration fee. Engage your classmates and register to start training.
